Revelry has had a lot in store for us so far!
Bringing back and fixing Olympus, OG maps coming back like Storm Point, and allowing us to hold double shield batteries rather than just one and the best thing yet!
The weapons in season 16 have been changed a lot from nerfing/buffing, to removing and adding attachments. Its been a roller coaster of damage; both emotional and physical. For consistent Apexers its been a nightmare, but it seems as if Apex is finally at the place it needs to be… as far as weapons go.
These weapons may be nice and all but it all depends on what you pick up you must choose wisely! Lets break down the Top 5 best Apex weapons this season and even the deadliest loadout combos!
Honorable Mention – The Wingman
So I know this is a Top 5 but there is a little guy who is very popular and comes with a big bang that can be very powerful if found by the right player.
The Wingman is defiantly worth putting on the list with it being an A-class pistol. It’s the best pistol you can pick up in the game!
This weapon is small but looks are deceiving! If you aren’t known for landing your shots, then maybe sit this one out and let the big dawgs do their thing. Not only is the Wingman good alone but paired with the Skull piercer hop up it’s a truly an insane duo, this hop up increases its headshot multiplier making you run away to heal with just one tap. The Wingman fires single shots, requires sniper ammo, and is a close to medium range weapon. Attachments include the Skull piercer, extended sniper mag, and standard stock. Personally, I think it’s best paired with the R-301.
5. M600 Spitfire
To start off our top 5 count down we have the spitfire, which pretty much speaks for itself. The Spitfire is a B-tier LMG that utilizes light ammo and is fully automatic. Being a harder weapon to handle than most weapons, it definitely earned its place on the list at number 5. This weapon is best used at mid-range
and best paired with the peacekeeper. Attachments include an extended light mag, optics, and standard stock. Standard stock and optics are a must for accuracy and recoil. For optics I prefer the HCOG “Bruiser” or the 3xHCOG “Ranger”. Its worth picking up and very satisfying when you land your shots.
4. R-301 Carbine
The R-301 which is my personal favorite, it is an assault rifle and it’s an s-tier weapon. The R-301 takes light ammo and requires a barrel stabilizer, an extended light mag, optics (I like 3X HCOG Ranger or 2x-4x variable aog) and standard stock. It can switch between fully automatic rounds and semiautomatic firing rounds which works best at short to medium range and medium to long range. The best attachments for the R-301 would have to be the barrel mod and the extended light magazine, these
attachment’s help best with decreasing weapon recoil and increasing the number of rounds able to be carried per mag.
I find it easier to handle than most of the other weapons, I would compare the handling most to the Alternator or the Flatline.
3. Prowler Burst PDW
Taking third place we have the Prowler which is a burst SMG that utilizes heavy ammo. The Prowler is an A-tier weapon that fires 5 round bursts. Personally, I believe it’s best to use a secondary weapon maybe alongside the R-301 or a Flatline, but the prowler is one of the guns I see people picking up the most.
You will never catch me with one, but you had better watch out for those who main this burst. The Prowlers attachment’s include laser sights, an extended heavy mag, optics, and standard stock.
Preferred optics for me would have to be the 1x-2x Variable Holo or 1x Digital Threat.
2. Peacekeeper
Hitting second place is the beautiful Peacekeeper AKA PK. This Shotgun is an A-tier weapon and utilizes shotgun shells and works best from close-medium range. Attachments include the shotgun bolt, optics, and standard stock. My personal choice of optics is 1x Digital Threat or HCOG “Bruiser”. The shotgun bolt is a great attachment due to the facts it increases the firing-rate. This shotgun fires 11 pellets at once and with sometimes surprising range, the PK is without a doubt a threatening weapon to anyone on the other end of it and I believe it to be the best shotgun in Apex Legends.
1. Nemesis
At the top of the list is the Nemesis, I know this wasn’t a complete shocker, but this assault rifle is arguably the most powerful weapons in the game right now that you can pick up off the ground. The Nemesis falls into the S-tier category and utilizes energy ammo, has 4 burst rounds, and works at any range! Attachments for this weapon include a barrel stabilizer, an extended energy mag, optics, and standard stock; the optics I prefer is the 3x HCOG Ranger.
If you come across the Nemesis, make sure you grab a barrel mod and standard stock for the grouping of shots. The Nemesis is an interesting weapon for sure it has an energy meter that fills up after firing, after the meter is filled completely your shots become more powerful but what’s cool is when you fire unlike most bursts that require you constantly pull the trigger you can just hold it.
